Dasa Cocos has manufactured and exported coconut-based products since 1975 from its base in Moonamaldeniya, in the heart of Sri Lanka’s coconut country. The company holds ISO 22000 food safety certification and works with organic, 100% natural ingredients. Its philosophy is to create value from every part of the coconut, “from kernel to root”, and its sister brand, Dasa Coir, carries that idea into the fibre side of the tree.
What they make
Dasa Cocos offers around 18 products across two ranges, edible and cosmetic.
Edible range
- Creamed coconut: rich, concentrated coconut for cooking and baking.
- Coconut milk: a staple of Sri Lankan kitchens, ready to use.
- Virgin coconut oil: cold-pressed from fresh coconut.
- Coconut flour: a naturally gluten-free flour for modern baking.
- Coconut chips: a crunchy, natural snack.
- Coconut water: a refreshing, natural drink.
- Coconut jam: a traditional sweet spread.
Growing with the world
Dasa Cocos serves customers at home and abroad, and export buyers expect the same quality in every shipment. Making a wide range of products from one raw material, whether milk, oil, flour or chips, means every stage from the fresh nut to the finished pack must be tightly controlled. That is hard to do without a plant designed for the job.
Our part in the story: the entire plant
When Dasa Cocos decided to build its production facility, it chose to source the whole plant from a Sri Lankan manufacturer. Nilusha Engineering designed, manufactured and installed the complete machinery plant.
